Cheong Noh-Chung is an attorney with over 18 years of experience specializing in both Korean and Russian law in matters such as international contract, IP, cross-border investment, corporate, real estate deal and development, M&A and international dispute resolution.
He has made notable successes in international commercial disputes, international patent disputes, and compulsory execution cases in Russia and Korea. He was recommended by Chambers Global 2014 as a leader in the corporate/M&A field. Cheong Noh-Chung graduated from the law faculty of the Sung Kyun Kwan University (Seoul, Korea) in 1997 and then obtained a master of law degree (LLM) from the Academic Law University (Moscow, Russia) in 2001.
Cheong is the first foreigner to pass the Moscow Bar Examination and be admitted to the Moscow City Bar in 2006. Before joining S&L Partners, he had been a Partner/Head of Korean Desk in the leading Russian law firm “Pepeliaev Group”, a Senior foreign attorney in the Korean law firms 'SHIN & KIM‘ and ‘LOGOS’.
He has been a panel of International Arbitrators of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB) since 2013.
