Ki-Moon Sung joined S&L Partners after 34 years of serving as a judge.

Ki-Moon started his career as a judge at the Seoul Civil District Court in March 1985 and retired after serving as Chief Justice of the Chuncheon District Court.

During his term as presiding judge at the Seoul Central District Court, he was a Chief Judge of the media department and Head Arbitrator of the Press Arbitration Commission, taking charge of media-related disputes. During his term as presiding judge of the Seoul High Court, he was a chief judge of the Medical Department, and left numerous opinions concerning medical litigation, including a well-known decision acknowledging the correlation between smoking tobacco and lung cancer.

He is especially well experienced in IP and trademark litigation, due to his term as a judge at the IP Litigation Court for over 5 years.
